Csapatépítés Kisorosziban

November 14-15-16-án a Work/Place program résztvevőivel és mentoraikkal egy háromnapos csapatépítő tréningen vettünk részt Kisorosziban. Ramin Shamsi, iráni résztvevőnk írásából megtudhatjátok, mi minden történt velünk a 3 nap alatt. A fotót a kisoroszi Duna-parton szintén Ramin készítette. // Between the 14th and 16th of November our participants and their mentors had a teambuilding training with us at Kisoroszi. To find out more about what happened during the 3 days, see the summary of Ramin Shamsi, our participant from Iran who also took the photo displayed, at the Danube bank in Kisoroszi.

Kisoroszi was mystery village for me before traveling there. Even the name was awkward and I was travelling to spend a weekend with a group of people whom I had not have much clue who they are and what they are planning to do with us there in that village. The whole weekend’s plan was secrecy and surprise. An hour travelling by bus, crossing the river in couple of seconds by a small boat which took a life time for me as a person who cannot swim and we were there in a beautiful village. We passed a local bar which later turned out that would be our party place and moments later we were next to our accommodation. After lunch the programs started in a room like kindergarten’s room with bunch of papers, color pencils, markers, ... and a table full of fruits, drinks and snacks.

There was a world map on the wall, introducing our name and story of our name and putting on the map was first game. It was a good starting point for melting ice between group members. But more was coming. Outdoor activities, playing with eggs and water balls in a team even got us more closer. Back to the room and talk about our cultures, having dinner and back to playing the chair games in different languages was really fun. Although after finishing the first day we sneaked out to local bar having party but later all trainers joined us and we danced together with the local people.

We did a lot in second day. Talking about our national holidays, historical events in our home country and sharing them in a common big calendar or making cartoon of it was amazing experience for me. That showed how we could transfer and share a message in a smart way. Exploring the village through a very exciting teamwork game and later, after dinner at evening having a nice conversation about stereotypes in different cultures and playing board games with others made my day perfect.

One the best activity of third day was, talking in a small group about the cultural misunderstanding and conflicts which we encountered and make a drama show out of it. It was really fun and effective. Then we finished the training with packing our stuff and making group photos and heading back to Budapest.

Although still I don’t know where the name of Kisoroszi comes from but whatever the reason behind the name is, I had an unforgettable weekend with lovely people there.

Thank you all to make such good experience and memory.
